The Las Nubes Student Association (LNSA) is an organized student group at York University that was initiated to promote sustainable ecological conservation and social sustainability practices in the biological corridor of the Las Nubes region of Costa Rica.
At the LNSA, we aim to create awareness about the Las Nubes project, and to get students excited and involved in our various activities and events! Keep your eyes out for our general meetings and emails, as there are plenty of upcoming opportunities to get involved!
Codrina is a Toronto-based poet, photographer and environmentalist. Dedicated to enriching the lives of others, the environment, and with a deep reverence for the arts… she ultimately finds that her deepest form of creative expression remains in her writing. She is also the current president of two clubs - The Las Nubes Student Association and The Carbon Free Club, and is currently volunteering as the Student Coordinator for the Climate Solutions Park (Project Climate Change). In her spare time, she works with environmental organizations and with the Rural Learning Association charity as President, and enjoys spending quality time with family, friends and in nature hiking, cycling or with her dog!
Brunela is a 4th-year student at the Faculty of EUC specializing in Environmental management. She is very passionate about all aspects of sustainability, especially in regards to waste and plastic and wants to contribute to creating a greener ideology in society. Brunela is currently the co-president of the Carbon Free Club and the vice-president of Las Nubes Student Association. She is an active member of the Live Green Toronto Volunteers and hopes to further support her community through an environmental and conservation effort. Some of her favourite hobbies are hiking, cycling and scuba diving/snorkeling whenever she has the chance.
